***With GCMB's transition to a new licensing system some issues have caused some delay in processing of compact applications. We ask for your patience as we navigate through these issues and provide a better service for you***

The Interstate Medical Licensure Compact offers a voluntary, expedited pathway to licensure for qualified physicians who wish to practice in multiple states.  If you are eligible, you can apply through the Compact for separate licenses in multiple or all states that are participants in the Compact.

Please visit the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact website for more information and a map of participating states.

Pathway A - Obtain a Letter of Qualification if you are an active Georgia Licensee

Pathway B - Obtain a Georgia expedited license when you already hold a Letter of Qualification (LOQ) from another State of Principal License (SPL)

*** Please note that with this process, when you submit your application to IMLCC, your Georgia license will be  temporarily approved pending the additional items in https://rules.sos.ga.gov/gac/360-40-.02. Once these items are uploaded and staff reviews and approved the additional items the new issue date will be created and this will update the expiration date to reflect the actual issue date***
