Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR) provides millions of Georgians with health care, protection, financial assistance, treatment and rehabilitation for disabling conditions. DHR makes sure communities have clean drinking water, safe day care centers and restaurants that meet health codes. It is DHR's goal to help families and individuals stay healthy and self-sufficient. DHR manages over 100 state administer or federally funded programs in 1,000 locations and all of Georgia's 159 counties.
