It is with deep sorrow that the Georgia Composite Medical Board announces the passing of LaSharn Hughes, our Executive Director, on October 28, 2021. She was a strong advocate for the safety of the public and patients of the State of Georgia. Her knowledge and compassion were surpassed only by her devotion and dedication to the work that the Board performs to keep Georgians safe. Our sincerest condolences to her family. She will be greatly missed.
