The Georgia Composite Medical Board will begin using VeriDoc to process licensure verifications for its Acupuncture licenses (both full and limited). This profession will now join many of the Board's other professions in using VeriDoc for transmission of license verifications:

  • Physicians
  • Residency Training Permits
  • Physician Assistants
  • Respiratory Care Professional
  • Genetic Counselors

"VeriDoc's practically instant verification process enjoyed by many Georgia physicians and other licensees will now extend to acupuncturists," said GCMB Executive Director Daniel Dorsey. "Acupuncturists using VeriDoc to send a verification of their Georgia license to other state licensing boards will now only take minutes to process."

Acupuncture verifications will begin to be transmitted electronically to other licensing boards through VeriDoc on or after July 5, 2023. All verifications processed through VeriDoc on behalf of the Board are considered primary source verifications under National Committee for Quality Assurance standards.

Please contact the Board with any questions.
