The Georgia Composite Medical Board voted during its December 2023 meeting that effective Jan. 1, 2024, the Board's previous position on the flexibility allowed through the Drug Enforcement Administration's telehealth prescribing policy during and after the COVID-19 pandemic will be rescinded. All licensees should refer to the Medical Practice Act and Board Rules for proper prescribing practices in Georgia.
