Board issues order mirroring medical license suspension in Colorado
The Georgia Composite Medical Board voted yesterday during a teleconference meeting to issue an Order of Summary Suspension concerning the medical license of Brent Austen Wilson, M.D. (#059350). The order was docketed, and the license was suspended, today.
The Colorado Medical Board entered an order which suspended Wilson’s license to practice in the state of Colorado, effective May 25. The Colorado Order of Suspension was based in part on an allegation of boundary violations involving an adolescent who was in the Georgia foster care system when first evaluated by Wilson.
During the period of suspension, Wilson is prohibited from practicing medicine in Georgia, including telemedicine, pending further proceedings on behalf of the Board for revocation or other action. Wilson can request an expedited hearing with the Board to further address the matter.
