The Georgia Composite Medical Board is comprised of sixteen members (15 Board and one ex-officio) appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate. By statute, two members are "consumer" members, one physician assistant as the ex officio member, two are Doctors of Osteopathy, and eleven are doctors who have doctors of medicine degrees.
