The Medical Board is not a physician referral source for persons seeking healthcare in the state of Georgia. This means we cannot direct you to a physician or comment on the skills of a doctor in your community.  Also, the Georgia Medical Board does not regulate chiropractors, dietitians, dentists, emergency medical technicians (EMT's), nurses (of any license type), nursing home administrators, optometrists, podiatrists, psychologists or social workers.  The Division of Professional Licensing Boards with the Office of the Secretary of State licenses these professionals. The Board’s website offers information on your healthcare provider such as licensure status, license number, expiration date of license, and any public disciplinary actions.  For physicians you may also view the physician’s profile.  We hope that our site will helpful in locating information about the Board’s services, and information on your healthcare professional.
